Mike Crosky SOCCER Bio
Mike brings an extensive soccer background to the table having played, coached and scouted in a variety of capacities over the last 25 years. Formerly a college scout for the National Scouting Report, Mike managed and advocated for soccer players throughout the recruiting process. Mike was also previously a member of the sales & marketing teams within Major League Soccer for Chivas USA and the Colorado Rapids. Currently, he is a contributor for SB Nation’s, Massive Report, as a featured writer of the Columbus Crew. Additionally, he is a private soccer coach through CoachUp, a platform that provides athletes one-on-one soccer training.
As a College Soccer Scout, Mike evaluated top-level high school players at college showcases across the country and managed selected athletes through the college recruiting process. Mike has assisted players in committing to play soccer at colleges and universities from coast to coast and all levels of play (DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, JuCo).
Mike was first introduced to the scouting world in 2010 by successfully completing the Soccer Management & Scouting course via Sports Management Worldwide, under mentor Matt Martin. He went on to earn U.S. Soccer coaching licenses and has coached boys and girls at the high school, youth club, and college club levels in Ohio, Oregon, Colorado, and Idaho.
Outside of soccer, Mike enjoys working out, biking, watching action movies and stand-up comedy. A lifelong die hard Buffalo Bills fan, Mike is an avid viewer of the NFL. In his younger days Mike founded a regional sports organization in Ohio, called RASCBall where they were prominently featured in a variety of media outlets in both print and television.
